Why Is Modern Dental Technology Important?
Finding an office with solid dental technology is essential for these reasons:
- Provide Long-Lasting Results: Better technology helps our dental appliances (such as crowns and dentures) last longer, saving you extra money on replacements.
- Find a Great Fit: Dental technology is constantly advancing to help our tools be as functional as normal teeth. Reduce recovery times with great dental technology!
- Get Material That Looks Good: Dental technology is drifting towards finding transparent solutions that match your smile. Find greater confidence with technology!
Soft Tissue Lasers
Soft-tissue lasers allow us to give you the best chairside treatment available. For issues like gingivectomies, cold sores, and deep periodontal pockets associated with periodontal disease, these instruments have greater accuracy than scalpels or electrosurgical units. Their efficient removal of soft issues cuts healing time virtually in half.
Managing Soft Tissue Lasers
These lasers will mainly be used in our more complex procedures such as dentures or implants. Before the appointment, you will be sedated and then we will secure you and the laser equipment to where it needs to be. After that, we will perform the procedure!
iTero
Our in-office iTero digital scanner maps your mouth in preparation for many of our dental procedures, with precision and accuracy far superior to that of plaster impressions. In a matter of minutes, iTero’s advanced systems and hundreds of focal points allow it to gather record amounts of information on your teeth and gums. This information will create a comprehensible 3D diagram for us to examine.
The iTero Scanner in Action
One great example of the iTero scanner is our Invisalign product. Once we scan your teeth, we can use the software to create models of the aligners. This feature will help us more precisely predict how we can go forward with your treatment.
Florida Probe Software
Our newly acquired Florida Probe software helps our hygienists create and give detailed reports on your gum tissue health. This software helps ensure that we can better understand your dental needs as long as we need to.
The Florida Probe Software can help you get the best information and an accurate diagnosis at every stage of your dental care.
Using the Florida Probe Software
We often use the Florida Probe software during our biannual checkups. This device will help us find traces of periodontal disease or further dental infections. Having top-notch dental equipment like this can help Dr. Alatorre make better decisions about oral health.
Cone Beam
Our office is proud to be in the process of acquiring a cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) machine that will seamlessly generate 3D images of your mouth. With the cone beam’s precise readout of the nerves and landmarks in your gum and teeth roots, getting a dental implant will be easier and more comfortable than ever.
How It Works
As previously mentioned, our CBCT machine is great with dental implants. Placing the dental implants in the precise spot is essential for quality care. The cone beam machine helps make this job easier by using very precise, meticulous equipment to give a clear readout that complements Dr. Alatorre’s expertise.
Noise-Canceling Headphones
Dental equipment can be loud, and we want your visit to be as comfortable as possible. For this reason, we provide noise-cancelling headphones to all our patients, so you can sit back, close your eyes, and escape the ruckus.
